About the Role 

As the Chef within our retirement living community, you will play a central role in delivering an exceptional dining experience across our restaurant, café and bar. You’ll lead the kitchen with a focus on high‑quality food, creative menu development and consistently excellent presentation. Maintaining impeccable hygiene and food safety standards will be a core part of your daily practice, ensuring residents and guests enjoy meals that are both delicious and safely prepared.

Collaboration is key in this role. You’ll work closely with both kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to support smooth service, positive communication and a welcoming atmosphere. You will also build warm, respectful relationships with residents, taking pride in understanding their preferences and enhancing their overall dining experience.

 
What You Will Bring
  • Trade‑qualified or experienced chef with strong skills in food quality and presentation.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Solid understanding of HACCP, WHS and safe food practices. 
  • Ability to maintain equipment, manage stock freshness and support smooth service.
  • Warm, professional engagement with residents and guests, including feedback handling.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, positive approach.
  • Strong commitment to upholding confidentiality and organisational values.
