Eldercare has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Roving Chef to work across our metropolitan residential aged care sites in Adelaide.
This is a full time, weekday role ideal for an experienced chef who is passionate about providing high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents.
- Permanent Full Time (38 hours/week)
- Monday to Friday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (on occassion 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM)
- Eldercare sites across the Adelaide metropolitan area
- Hourly rate: $33.15
- Annual $10,000 incentive paid fortnightly
- Travel allowance provided
- Salary packaging available
About the Role
As a Regional Roving Chef, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continuity and quality across Eldercare’s Hospitality Services. You will be assigned to different sites by our centralised Service Resourcing Team—primarily to cover staff leave or provide additional support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving high-standard meals, including texture-modified diets
- Supporting hospitality operations and mentoring kitchen staff on-site
- Maintaining food safety compliance and kitchen hygiene
- Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of action plans
About You
We’re looking for someone who is not only skilled in the kitchen but also values the role of food in enhancing quality of life. You will have:
- Trade qualified chef with relevant experience in Aged Care
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience with special dietary requirements, including texture modification and medical-related diets
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, empathetic manner
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites as required
