Resident Mobility Assistant

Location: Eldercare Seaford

Type: Full Time – Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:06

 

We invite an existing Eldercare employee to join the team at our Seaford site to help our residents stay active, independent, and socially connected.

 

About the Role 

  • As a Resident Mobility Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our residents’ physical wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Working alongside our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Wellbeing Consultants, you’ll help residents engage in meaningful movement and achieve their reablement goals.
  • From one-on-one support to group activities, you’ll assist residents in accessing indoor and outdoor spaces, participating in events, and building social connections that enrich their daily lives.
  • In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Wellbeing Consultants to support mobility and reablement goals.
  • You’ll assist residents with physical activity, escort them to indoor and outdoor spaces, and encourage participation in events and social engagement.

 

What You'll Need

  • Possess a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, Health & Leisure or Ageing Support or Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • A genuine passion to provide care that is person-centered
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enjoy building positive relationships with residents and staff
