Maintenance Officer

Eldercare is seeking a part time Maintenance Officer (Property Services Officer) 3 days week to provide essential professional maintenance services across Eldercare's residential aged care facilities and Retirement Living units at Minlaton and Maitland.

The Role

  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents, staff, and visitors
  • Work as part of a small local and larger state-based property team
  • Carry out a variety of hands-on duties across our two Yorke Peninsula sites
  • Carry out a variety of hands on programmed and reactive maintenance duties including gardening, painting, minor plumbing and building repairs
  • Electrical Testing and Tagging (Training will be provided)
  • Minor repairs to wheelchairs, beds, and various resident equipment
  • Assist in overseeing compliance relating to fire safety and accreditation
  • Supervise external contractors and ensure quality service and compliance from them

About You

  • Previous, relevant experience
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and able to prioritise work
  • A pleasant, friendly, and helpful approach with a positive and can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Basic Computer Skills
