Eldercare is a leading not-for-profit aged care provider in South Australia, with 13 residential aged care homes. Our workplace culture embraces teamwork, innovation and a dedication to our purpose of delivering peace of mind with our care.

At Eldercare, we know that older people in our care want to remain as healthy and independent as possible. With rehabilitation space at each of our facilities, and a thriving reablement program, our Occupational Therapists tackle frailty through intensive 1:1 reablement programs and ongoing group-based interventions.

As an Occupational Therapist at Eldercare, you will work in a large, multidisciplinary environment alongside Physiotherapists, Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers and Dementia Specialists. You will offer supervision and direction to Mobility Assistants, to promote mobility and exercise for all of our residents in the pursuit of individual goals.

Our Occupational Therapists utilise their full range of clinical assessment and treatment skills and enjoy having the time to support residents to achieve their potential. Our team culture embraces innovation by adopting evidence-based and emerging practices into our service model.

Professional support is offered by our two regional Allied Health Team Leaders, and ongoing professional growth is enabled through bi-monthly meetings and the opportunity to develop and implement new practices.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, with current AHPRA registration (limited registration therapists will also be considered)
  • Have a passion for healthy ageing and resident empowerment
  • Be committed to ongoing learning and development of your own skills
  • Maintain a customer service ethos with focus on providing a comprehensive and meaningful Occupational Therapy service to all residents
  • Demonstrate behaviours underpinning Eldercare's values of respect, accountability and connection

If you are looking to join our team, we will provide you with a supportive working environment that will care for you as an individual, and as a therapist. We will reward your commitment to our residents and Eldercare’s values with opportunities for career growth, and collaboration in the development of our service.

Eldercare encourages you to apply if you are a committed and results-driven individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes whilst modelling the behaviours underpinning Eldercare's values of respect, accountability and connection.
