Eldercare has an exciting opportunity for experienced Personal Care Assistants to join the team at Eldercare Hope Valley.

We have permanent opportunities available. 

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be providing direct care in a dignified and respectful manner that delivers excellence in customer service to our residents. Following care plans you will assist with personal care, daily living tasks and general mobility.  With a person-centered mindset you will create a warm and welcoming care environment that aims to maximise quality of life.

 About the role

  • Located at our Hope Valley site 
  • Permanent part time opportunity with the below shift patterns available (note: no casual positions available)
  • Successful applicants will pick up a shift bundle as advertised in its entirety
  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts on a casual basis

Shift Pattern 1 - 43.5 hours per fortnight 

Week 1

Wednesday 07:00 - 15:00

Thursday 07:00 - 13:30

Friday 07:00 - 15:00

Saturday 15:00 - 23:00

Monday 07:00 - 15:00

Week 2

Wednesday 15:00 - 23:00

Shift Pattern 2 - 36.5 hours per fortnight

To be successful in this role, you will: 

  • Minimum 6 months experience
  • Existing working rights in Australia
  • Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Aged Care – or equivalent
  • A genuine passion to provide care that is person-centered
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enjoy building positive relationships with residents their families and staff

 To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.

As per Eldercare’s Employee Immunisation Policy, all Eldercare employees are required to:

  • Be vaccinated against seasonal influenza by no later than 1 June each year
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
