We are currently seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Consultant to join our team.

The Human Resources Consultant will work closely with leadership teams at designated residential aged care facilities, providing high-level advice on all aspects of human resources matters. This role involves timely and accurate advice related performance development, industrial relations, recruitment and policy interpretation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a HR consultancy/generalist role 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent experience 
  • Demonstrated experience leading the investigation, mediation and successful resolution of performance issues, grievances and other matters 
  • Experience partnering with managers to provide advice, guidance and coaching on employment relations or industrial relations matters 
  • Sound practical knowledge of contemporary human resources and industrial relations issues, including relevant Australian workplace legislation and awards 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, risks and opportunities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to quickly develop strong relationships, and be able to influence and negotiate with frontline and middle managers, union representatives, external service providers and other key stakeholders 
  • Experience working in the care sector is desirable however not essential

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.

  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
