Due to our continuing growth in learning and development, we have a full-time opportunity for a Hospitality Services Educator to join our Learning and Development Team.

This role is responsible for the effective planning, development, delivery and evaluation of hospitality education and training programs for all hospitality employees of Eldercare. The Hospitality Services Educator integrates contemporary information and evidence with organisational needs to develop and guide appropriate hospitality education. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, developing and delivering Hospitality education and training in a range of settings.
  • Design and develop training needs assessments.
  • Be the organisations subject matter expert regarding updating Hospitality standards.
  • Assist with the development, continuous improvements and review training materials.
  • Collaborate with the subject matter experts within and outside of Eldercare to ensure training programs reflect evidence based best practice.
  • Incorporate key elements of Eldercare's Model of Care into education and training.
  • Assist with the evaluation of e-learning packages and programs.

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player and have:

  • Proven experience in hospitality training and education, preferably in the aged care or healthcare sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications within hospitality, healthcare or education.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or prepared to undertake this qualification).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and education within a health or aged care setting.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Well-developed problem-solving, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Experience within the Aged Care sector (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to Eldercare sites to deliver and assess training requirements.

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
