Eldercare Trowbridge House at Payneham South is seeking a Senior Hospitality Assistant.

Eldercare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Hospitality Assistants to join the team at Eldercare Trowbridge House located in Payneham South.

We have a permanent opportunity available. 

As a Senior Hospitality Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, managing cleaning audits and completion of action plans; ensuring the smooth running of the laundry services as well as maintaining adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness across the site. You will also assist with tasks such as food ordering in the absence of the Chef Manager.

About the role

  • Located at our Payneham South site 
  • Permanent part time opportunity, Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00
  • A varied role that provides the opportunity to work across the cleaning and laundry departments
  • The successful candidate will pick up all shifts available (75 hours per fortnight) 

 To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise work activities and problem solve
  • Knowledge of contemporary catering/housekeeping/cleaning practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Experience in providing catering and housekeeping services
  • Experience in residential aged care laundry practice (including knowledge & experience in chemical handling)
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
